My name is David Pence. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Wesleyan College.  After graduating, I worked with juvenile delinquents for 6 years. During that time I decided to get into teaching.  I received my teaching certificate from Kutztown University in December 2000.   It turned out to be the best decision that I have ever made.  I am currently in my seventh year teaching fourth grade at Upper Providence Elementary in the Spring-Ford School District.  I truly enjoy my job and the staff at UPE.  I could not ask for a better place to work. I also earned a Master’s degree in Library Science from Kutztown University.     

My wife and I have been married for 5 ½ years.  We have a 20 month old son.  It has been amazing to see him grow and develop.  Time seems to be going so fast.  We also have a 4 year old Rottweiler.  They have become great buddies.
